Sunrise Cabinets Through The Years
1994 Sunrise Cabinets began making cabinets in a 1000 square foot garage.
1995 Quit trailer factory job. Full time at Sunrise Cabinets.
1998 Busy but rough year.
1999 Added 2000 square feet to shop. Hired first employee.
2001 Oldest son Larry starts full time. 2003 Son DeWayne starts part time. 2005 Steady business growth.
2008 Economy slows.
2009 Economy crashes. Lay off 3 employees. Show bedroom furniture at NIWA Expo.
2010 Gradually build a wholesale furniture dealer base. Hire back 1 employee.
2011 Grow back slowly. Mostly cabinets, some furniture.
2012 Son Norman starts full time. Hire 1 additional employee. Dealer base grows.
2013 Rehire son DeWayne. Quickly outgrowing the shop.
2014 Break ground on new 9600 square foot building.
2015 Start production in new building. Strong orders. Total employees grows to 10.
2016 Great year.
2017 Another good year. Hire 2 additional employees.
2018 Grow by leaps and bounds. Expand our workforce by 5 employees.
2019 Great year. Steady growth.
2020 Introduced QuickShip program with great success. Expansion on the warehouse.
2021 QuickShip grows by leaps and bounds. Add our own millroom and more employees.
2022 Sold 9 styles to Pigeon River Designs. Expand into new 12,000 sq ft shop addition.
2023 Streamlined our 24,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Ready to grow!
